Pearl’s ‘n Promises made their debut at YMP during the summer of 2004.  Fashioned after the award-winning Sweet Honey in the Rock, the students of Pearl’s ‘n Promises perform a cappella music steeped in the rich musical roots of the black church- spirituals, hymns, gospel and jazz.  The group is lead by Jacqueline Hairston, world-renowned composer/arranger and authority of African American music.
